From the Desk of Dr. David Roach

In the past, I considered writing a professional blog.  I never started it because I envisioned writing a blog solely about dental topics.  While there are many interesting and new dental topics, I feared the blog would get stale.

Recently, I attended a professional dental seminar.  A story was told about a business director for a dictionary company.  She had the task of marketing their dictionary as something exciting and appealing. Wow! That sounds tough.  What did she do?

She looked within the company.  She knew her teammates were not a bunch of boring bookworms. Actually, they were intelligent linguists with a great senses of humor.  She tapped into this talent.  She had them help with the project. They put corny but funny vocabulary jokes on social media. My favorite one was, “What is red and bad for your teeth? A brick!” They listed silly vocabulary questions like, “Is a hot dog a sandwich?” It was engaging.  She shared with the world the good things within the dictionary company.

I laugh about taking on a marketing project for myself. But, I think it would be fun to share the great stories within our office. Our staff is a team of great people doing great things! That might be a bold statement.  But, our endless 5-star Google reviews confirm this. All of this is made possible because we are blessed to have great patients!

I want to tell the stories of these extraordinary Nashville people. These are good stories that need to be told.  Of course, they will be peppered with the latest in the dental community. So, there goes Blog #1.  I hope to see you for Blog #2!

Yours in dental health,
